What Actually Happens During a Washee Mobile Detail
2 mins
Booking a mobile detail for the first time raises a fair question: what exactly is going to happen in your parking spot for the next ninety minutes? The short answer is a full detail, done properly, without your car ever leaving the building. Here is the long answer.
Your technician arrives with everything self-contained: water, power, extraction equipment, and the chemicals matched to your paint and interior. Nothing is run off your building's supply, and nothing is left behind. That self-sufficiency is what lets us work in a residential garage where a hose and a bucket would never be allowed.
The exterior comes first. A pre-rinse lifts the loose grit that causes swirl marks, then the wash itself is done by hand with a clean mitt, working top to bottom so the dirtiest panels are touched last. Wheels and tires are cleaned with dedicated tools that never touch the paint. Every package from Epic Special upward includes this foundation, because skipping it is how detailers put scratches into cars.
Inside, the seats and mats are vacuumed thoroughly, and from Silver Pack up the work extends to the surfaces you actually touch: the dashboard, the center console, the door panels, the cup holders that collect everything. Gold Pack adds leather conditioning and a premium wax, which is where a wash stops being maintenance and starts being protection.
The final pass is the one most people notice. Glass is cleaned last, inside and out, because it shows every mistake made earlier. Your technician walks the car with you before leaving, and if something was missed, it gets fixed on the spot rather than becoming a complaint later.
Total time runs from about forty-five minutes for an Epic Special to just under two hours for a Gold Pack SUV. You do not need to be present for any of it. Most of our customers leave a key with the front desk and come back to a finished car.
